Ending a tenancy in Tasmania

Whether you need a reason to end it, which reasons count, and how much notice each one takes.

The rule in TAS

Ending a tenancy — no 'no reason' notices; a listed ground required (sale/renovation/family = 42 days; end of fixed term 42–60 days)

Statutory basis: RTA 1997 (Tas) s 42 (notice to vacate by owner — grounds + notice periods)
Form: Notice to vacate (listed ground)

How TAS compares
